  • I loved what I did yesterday: met up with batchmates! (excluding LoLo who is currently in Korea).

Ate at Fish&Co even though I was clearly not hungry & had like 3 conversations concurrently. Azlin and I talked about our MOE Teaching Award matters, then I will be explaining and catching up with Nat, then the NUS peeps discussing about Temasek Hall issues. HAHA. Damn confusing to sustain each convo but it was real fun being in the company of my loved ones. :D

Sneha, the Queen, brought up the issue on dual citizenship and we were all shocked that she would choose the Indian Passport over the Singapore one BECAUSE OF THE COLOUR. Apparently the Singapore Red Passport looks awful to her and the BLUE one is nicer. Real rational and mature. LOL. Nat, the sane one, is choosing her S'pore citizenship over her British one. :D

I realised our conversations always delve into the issues that will concern us in future. For instance, parenthood, marriage, working in the public/private sector etc. And it always got me thinking about my decisions, about my life.

I wish I can just stop thinking about wanting to live YOUR life, but instead learning to appreciate the people/blessings around me.

I wish I can really truly learn to be grateful and thankful for what God has been doing in my life.

I wish I can stop comparing my life with others.

When we were younger, MUCH YOUNGER, we yearned to be a grown-up. To do adult-stuff. Well, for me at least, I will want to write cheques, sign for important documents, swipe credit cards, go for important Boardroom meetings etc. Now that we are just a step away from being an adult, we miss the joy and innocence of being a child. We miss being dependent on others for our needs, we miss being able to play all day without the need to think for the food on our plates.

But then again, I kinda enjoy earning my own keep. Paying for my own shopping loot. Settling my own accounts. Wait till you reach the stage where you have to pay for your own bills, settle house mortgage, pay taxes etc.

Post A Level life is seriously rockin'. One more month and i'm off to my next stage of education.
